Here’s to tribes on an empty dance floor 🙌🙌🙌

It’s honestly one of the best moments in the night, when the music is on point and there’s enough space to cut a rug.

Loved this.

I miss dance parties and how easy they were to come by when I was in my 20s. Now I just create them (solo style) in my kitchen to keep my moves fresh.

The filming of life instead of living it is something I will never understand. I caught my mother filming a fireworks display on her phone the other night and told her to cut it out. 😂

Haha wow fireworks especially just don’t translate. It’s like taking a photo of the sunset. Just, stop. But lest you think you’re “too old” to dance party it up, my 71 y/o father went to an electro rave last weekend and went home at 2am. Time to hit the dance floor!

Raise the hands, not the cell phones. For the love of all that is music-loving.

I paused on my essay this week because I’ve got too much going on, but it was about concerts and it would dovetail so nicely. Sigh. Maybe I’ll turn it in late. 😉

Yesss it’s in the zeitgeist. Summer is for dancing after all. Solstice and all that.

What if we could just create a device--call it a broom--to whap phones out of people’s hands who aren’t dancing only filming

The reason human beings like to go out dancing is absolutely to reconnect with ancestral forms of non-verbal expression. It’s all about rhythm, baby.

Honored to know that we broached the sacred space together some many moons ago. Gotta get back on the dance floor at least one more time this summer

Sometimes you just gotta put the phone away and enjoy the moment. Fantastic tale of fleeting moments
