The way this story weaves together themes of tragedy, intuition, and connection is incredibly powerful. Your ability to paint vivid scenes and evoke complex emotions makes it feel like we're right there alongside the characters, experiencing their journey firsthand.

Thank you Jonah. It's funny, when I hear these stories in my head, they really are one-sided conversations that more or less write themselves. Staying true to that voice from elsewhere--and trusting the intuition of it all--is something I have trouble doing in other forms of writing. But for whatever reason, this structure works for me.
What a legendary institution, and yes, the phantasmagoria of words, senses, colors, and thoughts that attract our readerly brains is almost always a beautiful mystery to unravel. But seriously, Wo Hop. The duck fried rice. I mean come on.
For me, it was always the duck chow fun, but yes. For a time it was every Saturday evening, including the first date with the girl who has been my wife for the past 43+ years. Wo Hop. Downstairs.
Wow. You met your wife at Wo Hop. That's legendary. I met mine at a dive bar called Au Chat Noir in Paris. Maybe there's some portal connecting divey institutions across oceans. I'm into it. Duck Chow Fun next time for sure.
Rapid read - want more from this world.
I think that world ended tho... We'll have to wait for him to create another one.
Love this.

Beautifully done.
My first thought was “Wo Hop even has good fortune cookies.” It’s interesting what can hook a reader into a story, isn’t it?

Not quite - we met at a party; Wo Hop was the first date. I’m not embarrassed either.
Damn. I really dug this.
Merci friend.
Yes! This just gets better and better as it goes along.
Thank you friend. Sometimes these tales flow out of me without overthinking it, which I think is the trick
Love this tale. Weaving the soothsayer disaster dreams of the brother (familiar territory!) and the unfolding ecological chaos. Bravo! More!
I'm not smart^^
Hey don't sell yourself short. Or do. Or don't not do.
