How wonderful. And what a beautiful song, one of my all-time favorites. Bonne (well-deserved) vacances! Look forward to seeing you again sometime soon. Happy summer!

Thank you Janet, perhaps next year’s fete we shall cross paths in the streets! (The city was on fire this year … it really felt like everyone needed it)

Is this reunion the (re)start of something beautiful?

Ahhh, who can tell! If we can return to playing acoustic gigs like this, unplugged versions of our best tunes, then why the hell not. The world needs more folk/blues harmonica, acoustic guitars, and three-part harmonies -- such could be our credo.

Best tunes AND new tunes? The world is crying out for non-manufactured music.

We need to return to proper musical talent and you guys should be the start of that revolution…

Berlin has Fete de la Musique as well, for more than 20 years always on shortest day of year, June 21.

So cool! I did learn that Fete de la Musique is now an international event not just limited to the Frenchies. What is the Berlin festival day like? I imagine a whole lot of electronic, like in Paris, with a somewhat darker bent.

Yeah, I actually was just around my corner where there were djs serving a young audience with New Gabba (high BPM techno) and it was actually sort of illegally taking place. But around town there were about 200 concerts going on, featuring all kinds of music. It‘s just dverywhere and all kinds of stuff, some concerts on their own event stages (set up only for this day) or in pubs or parks. It‘s one of the reasons I love Berlin so much.

This was lovely. Thank you for sharing Samuèl.

Jane Birkin would have loved this version. It was a great tribute! It had swing, soul, country and your voices and instruments mingled so well. Bravo.

I missed the "fête de la musique" this year, so this is a nice consolation!

Ahhh thank you Keva. The fête was a special one this year, especially because the sun only came out after what's felt like 6 months an hour or two before all of it began! Jane Birkin, I'm honored you thought of her when hearing us ... what a legend.

The weather has been weird, and full of ups and downs. Hopefully, you could play in the sun.

You are welcome! I discovered this song thanks to Jane Birkin. I often listen to her version of this song. She was a special artist.

Ah very cool. We grew up listening to the Neil Young version, and then years ago heard Poolside's version and thought why not make something in between!

Nice! It must have been a good challenge to make the song your own. It's funny how a song is organic and becomes your own, that process is fascinating.

I have not listened to Neil Young's version yet, but I will give it a go. "Rendre à César, ce qui appartient à César".

That’s the beauty of a great song. It keeps on living in so many different renditions.

True! It would be cool to have an album with only these covers, maybe it already exists… one album, many versions.

Hi Samuél, I wondered if you'd be performing at the fête. . .I was an inch away from putting myself on a plane at the last minute so I could be there . . . well, that didn't pan out obviously, otherwise I would have seen you. Sorry I've been so out of touch. I'm glad you continue to post here (I'm catching up with the posts) despite all your identities, some of which are more pleasant to inhabit than others. (Don't I know it.). Be well, friend.

❤️❤️❤️This is a gorgeous rendition of "Harvest Moon'!!
