Sooner or later this round table idea shall take root. For now, we shall cultivate the gardens and prepare the mulch ... I’m happy to know this conversation now exists.
Our conversation from yesterday will be a fantastic addition to this hopefully long-continuing collection of writerly conversations. In just 1 hour, I learned so much from Meg and from you. If that ain’t a win, call me Nancy Reagan.

I like this project, you have a good talkin' voice. The title is interesting too, it immediately brings to mind the mad hatter idiom, mercury poisoning from the actual craft of making them. When you finish the hat, the hatter has crossed into insanity ^^
Thanks friend. The title couldn't be any other way...I can't take credit for it but rather thank Steven Stondheim, and then steal it. (Picasso: "good artists borrow, great artists steal." Is that true? I'm not sure. But Jim Jarmusch also said it: "Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination."
So fun to talk with you, Samuel. Please, let's do it again!

Me too. And happy that I'm better at conversing than I am at gardening. 🙂
Wonderful discussion about the writing life, Substack, and the nature of the universe. Looking forward to hearing you two continue the conversation!
Woah. We covered all that?
It's possible I like talking better than writing. Maybe don't encourage me too much. 😏 Or do.
Thanks for listening, friend. 🥂
