I gave up FB & IG for over a year. I went back to see what I was missing...apparently I’m missing a jacked up nervous system and shortened attention span, along with heightened narcissism. In short, I am not missing much of value. I haven’t returned (well maybe a little on IG as my son is on there). (As Marie Kondo asks: does it spark joy? No? Thank you & goodbye.)This poem sparks joy, and your drawing was inspiring.

I love this poem, speaks so directly to how I’ve been feeling about social media lately and why I’m choosing to spend more time on Substack.
Just had a thought - my next planned essay will actually be on this subject... could I/would you like me to feature your poem?
It feels wrong to “like” this post. My thumb is programmed to click that damn 💔
This just reminded me of how grateful I am to be here and not Twitter ❤️
