A family member published a number of NYT best sellers... there is a business behind the business... or something like that. What you are in touch with seems so much more important than what I have seen coming as a result of “making sure you pay enough to make enough.” You could pay people to promote your work or I have seen people pay folks who can rig the NYT and Amazon lists as well. Crossing fingers you can keep doing what you are motivated to do...
