Bravo! but I can't help but wonder whether you and Stokes are engaging in Kierkegaardian play with us. The Requisitions is on its way to me and arrives any minute, thanks to the introduction to your work I found in the video when it first appeared.

I know! It’s definitely the most absurd (in the philosophical sense) literary tale I’ve been part of … I just love that there can still be such playful mystery in our lives

This is SO TRUE and so consistently easy to forget. You hear it all the time from folks who’ve been diligently doing the work for months, years, and decades: ONLY DO WHAT FEELS RIGHT. Yeah, yeah, okay. But what about that article that says we should do something totally different? Why are we so susceptible? I suspect it’s because self-esteem is a flighty friend. I just saw The Substance and holy hell. Talk about a commentary on metamodern notions of the holy self …
